Welcome to our "Meet the Team" blog post series, where we introduce you to the amazing people behind our company! At Telerik Academy, our mission is to help people jumpstart or accelerate successful careers in the software industry, thus changing their lives and helping the sector grow. Our team is made up of passionate and dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to achieve this mission and make a positive impact in the IT industry.
So, who are the people that make up our team?
Meet Stella Panova, Junior Learning Experience Designer at Telerik Academy and Chavdar Dimitrov, one of our Technical Trainers. We asked them a few questions so you could get to know them better.
Here's what they shared.
Meet Stella Panova, Junior Learning Experience Designer
Can you explain as simply as possible what you do at Telerik Academy?
I contribute to making the learning experience for students and trainers a worthwhile journey. I accomplish this by ensuring our courses meet the needs of our students, constantly exploring new ways to improve our methods, and creating a successful and motivating environment for learning.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The environment! The whole team at Telerik Academy is amazing, and we are all dedicated to one mission - transforming people's lives and empowering the IT industry. Also, I like that I learn new things every day. My day-to-day work is diverse, and this is exciting. It is also very rewarding to see the impact of your work. π
What is the last book you read?
It is a book I read to my son - "Ping: A Frog in Search of a New Pond". It teaches the importance of perseverance and the importance of harmony with your environment.
Tell us one curious fact about you:
I'm a ninja πand now I have a little ninja, as you can see from the photo. What I enjoy most nowadays is just being with him. Before that, I spent a lot of time practising martial arts and reached just the beginning of the journey to becoming a "master" - first black belt.
Meet Chavdar Dimitrov, Technical Trainer
Can you explain as simply as possible what you do at Telerik Academy?
I help people who choose to change their careers with our Alpha Java program by leading technical sessions, answering questions, and trying to present the big picture of what it means to be a software developer. Currently, I also have the pleasure of mentoring a new team member.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The dynamic and healthy environment - from communicating with great people (my colleagues) to assisting motivated people (the Alpha program participants). In our team, there are several groundbreaking, at least for me, aspects - the creative freedom, the strive to process optimization and innovation, and the comfort of time to perform your tasks to a high standard.
What is the last book you read?
The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company. It was a great gift for Christmas from Alex, our CEO. At first, I was a bit sceptical because it was for the CEO of a multi-billionaire company, but it turns out that Robert Iger has the same fear and emotions as any other human being.
Tell us one curious fact about you:
As seen in the photo, I love to run. I have run more than 14,000 km, and who knows, maybe I could collect 26,000 km more. This way, I would have run around the globe.
We're incredibly proud of our team and the work they do each day. Stay tuned for our next blog post from this series, where you'll get to know more colleagues from our team.
